Shelley Golan and Liz Vaknin founded Our Name Is Farm to address the communication gap that currently exists between local food growers and producers, and the variety of consumer markets they sell to.
Born and raised in New York, Liz was exposed to the hospitality industry from a young age and comes from a long line of cooks and chefs. After studying communications in Israel, Liz moved back to the States to pursue a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu. She has worked in some of New York City’s finest dining establishments, and studies gastronomical anthropology as a hobby.
Born and raised in New York City, Shelley's interest in food and farming can be attributed to an adventurous palate and summers spent working at a farm in Upstate New York. She holds a bachelor's degree in organizational psychology, and has a professional background in fashion, marketing and media production.
Dani has been in the PR field for six years, working with organizations big and small across industries. Dani’s passion for eating is fulfilled by representing the fascinating food and beverage clients from the Our Name Is Farm test kitchen.
